5 Tips To Lighten The Dark Knuckles

Dark knuckles are very common occurrence and require adequate skin care to treat them. The main reasons of dark knuckles are dead cells, skin problems, external factors, sun rays, excessive use of cosmetics. The sun rays allow the melanin to increase in our skin. Melanin is a dark pigment which protects our skin from ultraviolet rays and reduces the chances of tanning. Here are few home remedies to brighten the dark knuckles: 

  • Milk Cream & Vitamin E: Get vitamin E capsules. It is easily available in all drug stores. Take 1 teaspoon of milk cream and break the capsule. Mix properly. Apply this mixture on the knuckles and other rough areas of the skin. Rub it intensely for 10 minutes. This is a very good remedy for dark knuckle and also moisturizes the skin. Use daily to notice a remarkable improvement in your skin. This is the best for ones having dry skin.  
  • Almond & Yogurt: Blend one or two grounded almonds and yogurt and whisk well. Use this mixture after exfoliating your hands properly. Apply this mixture on the damp skin and specially on knuckles and rub intensely for about 10-15 minutes. Then wait for few minutes and then rinse off with luke warm water.  
  • Lemon Juice & Honey: Lemon and honey is known to be good for the skin. It helps in lightening your knuckles. Mix some honey and lemon juice together and apply on the knuckles and other problem areas. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse off. Do this once a day for a week for best results. The results would depend from person to person. The darker the knuckles, the more time results would take.  
  • Oatmeal, Yogurt & Cucumber Juice: Mix sour yogurt, powdered oatmeal and cucumber juice. Apply on the darken areas concentrating on knuckles. Leave for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with cold water. Apply it several times a week for fast and good results. This helps in brightening your skin and knuckles.  
  • Gram flour, Raw Milk & Lime Juice: Make a paste of 1 tbsp of gram flour, 2 tbsp of raw milk and add couple of drops of lemon juice in it. Apply this mixture on the affected areas of the skin and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it off with cold water. Continue this treatment daily for around 1 month and then once a week in order to remove the tan and obtain visibly lighter skin.
