Perfect Guide For A Perfect Pedicure

Toes are hided under shoes most of the time but its care is as important as of fingers. Pedicure doesn’t only beautify the feet but also makes them relaxed. Well tended feet are also less likely to have problems such as calluses, cracked heels or ingrown toe nails.

A perfect pedicure shouldn’t involve only polished nails but it should involve the whole feet. Good pedicure keeps the nails neat and clean and strong for long period of time. A professional pedicure takes approx half an hour but pedicure at home takes about an hour.

The 5 important steps for perfect pedicure are:

1>. Preparation: First of all, remove all the traces of nail polish with a good nail polish remover which should be acetone free. Then fill a bowl or bucket with warm water and add some sea salt to it. Dip the feet into it for 5 to 10 minutes to soften as well as to clean the feet. After soaking, take out one foot and massage it with foot scrub between the fingers and around heels. Repeat the step for the another foot. Then wash all the scrub with the dead skin.

2>. Caring: Dry the feet with the towel particularly between the toes. Then rub the edges and soles of foot with the help of a buffer or a foot file. Concentrate the rough areas like accumulation on the heels, balls on the feet and sides of the big toes but beware of over rubbing.

3>. Shaping: Apply oil or cuticle cream on the base and sides of the toe nails and just leave it for 5 minutes. Now push back all the cuticles gently in a circular motion. Cut the nails in the shapes whatever you want with nail clippers and file the rough edges smoothly. Now rub the nails with the nail buffer to smooth out any ridges.

4>. Massaging: Massage the feet with the revitalizing massaging cream. The cream should contain shea butter, aloe vera ec. as they help in smoothing the skin. Massage the soles of the feet kneading with your fists and applying pressure between the foot and thumbs. Massage the legs also as they have muscles which work the feet. Continue massaging until the cream has been properly absorbed by the skin.

5>. Polishing: Remove the remaining lotion from the feet and insert toe dividers. Apply the base coat to prevent polish staining. Then apply the nail paint of your choice without touching the cuticles. If the same has done, dip a cotton ball in the nail remover and wipe away the extra nail polish carefully.
