Weight loss is a long and slow journey but many dieting errors make it more slower and unhealthy. Muscle loss, metabolic damage, horrible cravings to food, depression etc makes it difficult. There are some common mistakes which make weight loss more harder than actually it is. 

1. Moderating Calories Severely: Restricting the calories severely will result in quick and unhealthy weight loss. Our body’s daily calories requirement is 70%. When you feed your body less than 70% it burns daily, the caloric deficit problems begins. By doing this, you can lose weight quickly but you’ll suffer sooner from weight gain. By this way, much of the weight loss initially is just the water of the body which can come back quickly after overeating for 1 or 2 days. Your muscles will also get start to lose and your body would have only skinny fat.

2. Not Eating Enough: If you are cutting calories for long time, you are not going to see the results. More food is usually better for weight loss. When you don’t take enough food, your body starts to use the hard earned muscles for fuel which is known as catabolism and this can alter the weight loss. So proper and enough food is good for weight loss. 

3. Avoiding Resistance Exercises: While dieting to lose weight, resistance exercises help in preserving and building lean muscle mass. This should be an important part of your weight loss plan whether you are concerned about building muscles or not. While losing fat, you should minimally retain the muscle. Resistance exercises and high protein diet helps in accomplishing this. 

4. Buying Fat Free Food:  While losing fat, people often choose fat free products and foods. But these types of foods can be anything but healthy. When food products are made fat free, some extra additives are added to make it palatable. These additional things may be different types of chemicals, flavor boosting ingredients, refined carbohydrate and sugars etc. These foods can be detrimental to fat loss goals. Avoid such types of packaged foods, processed and pre-made foods. 

5. Forgets Living Life: Weight loss has become very trending program and people are taking it so serious that they’ve forgot to live their life. They eat food in the form of diet meals and don’t enjoy that. After taking these type of meals, they often suffer from obesity but don’t take any extra diet. Obesity can lead to the failure of weight loss. Just listen to your hunger signals.
