Anti-aging Foods That Will Make You Look Younger

As we grow old, our body becomes receptive to age-related and worsening diseases but there are some certain foods which can remove the negative influences of aging on the body. These foods improve our overall health with versatility and hence make our lives long and healthful.

Some of the anti-aging foods are as follows:

Oats: Oats are known to be low-glycemic food and due to this quality, they don’t spike the blood sugar of our body and hence prevent the skin from wrinkles and acne where high glycemic foods like breads, pasta, rice etc. are refined and high glycemic and causes wrinkles. Oats also have a natural plant chemical which protects the skin from damage and relieves it from irritation.

Oranges: Oranges are full of water and a good source of vitamin C which keep the skin hydrated and also helps in the formation of collagen which helps to keep the skin supple.

Avocados: Avocados contain monounsaturated fat which is healthy fat. It keeps the skin hydrated and helps in the absorption of essential nutrients and vitamins which are required for skin.

Lean Beef: Lean beef has large amount of high quality proteins which helps in the production of collagen and it also has anti aging properties.

Brussels Sprouts: These are very good source of folate, vitamin A and vitamin C which are skin friendly vitamins. Vitamin C helps in the formation of collagen where vitamin A and folate prevents the skin from sun damage.

Salmon: This fish is known to be the best source of omega 3 fatty acids and itd be beneficial to include this fish in our diet. This omega 3 fats protect the skin cancer cells from growing and spreading.

Grapes: The skin of the grapes give Resveratrol which prevents the skin from being inflammed. Moreover, it makes the aging process slow and has anti UV properties which protect the skin from sun damage.

Tomatoes: Tomatoes have genes that produce lycopene, anthocyanin, carotene and anti-oxidants. These help the skin from sun burn and keeps it youthful for a long period.

Cabbage: Cabbage has phytochemicals, glucosinolates, sulphoraphane, anthocyanins which affect the carcinogenic activities. Its also a good source of indole-3-carbinol, which repair DNA in cells and prevent sunstroke.
