6 Homemade Facial Toners for Glowing Skin
Cleansing, toning & moisturizing are the 3 most important steps to get a healthy skin. Cleansing cleans the pores of the skin. Toning is a process to remove dirt and dead cells from the face and gives a new flow. It is done after cleansing and is as important as cleansing and moisturizing. There are many toning products in today’s cosmetic market which provides a revitalized glow to face but rather than using chemical based toners which are harmful to skin, home made products can be used which better impact on the skin, easy to prepare and skin suited.
Some of the homemade toners are:
Vinegar & Rosewater Toner: take a bowl and add 4 tbsp rose water and 4 tbsp vinegar and mix it. Then dip a cotton ball into it and apply on the face. It’ll tone the skin as well as make the complexion better.
Green Tea Toner: boil green tea leaves in the water for 4-5 minutes and then separate it with the help of a strainer. Allow it to cool and then wipe the face with the cotton ball dipped into it. Green tea is very helpful in health making. It has natural herbs which nourishes the skin and supplies natural oil into it.
Lemon juice toner: lemon juice is well known for beautifying the skin. Apply lemon juice directly on the face after cleansing. Its a natural bleaching agent which has skin toning properties also and removes extra oil from the face.
Curd & Cucumber Juice Toner: Mix a tbsp of curd and a tbsp of cucumber juice in a bowl. Apply it on face and leave it 5-10 min and then rinse with cold water. It provides cleansing, toning and moisturizing to the skin as cucumber juice provides glow and curd moisturizes the skin.
Basil Leaves Toner: Basil leaves are known for their healthgenic properties. Boil 10-15 basil leaves in the water and then separate the water from strainer. Allow the water to cool. Then wipe the face from cotton balls dipped into it. It’ll make the skin endowed and provides immediate results. Basil leaves are beneficial in terms of beauty. The iced version of basil water can also be used as it has qualities of both ice water and basil leaves which would be more worthwhile for the skin.
Ice Toner: This is the easiest available ice toner. Wrap the ice cube in a cotton cloth and rub on the skin. This ice toner keeps the skin cool, maintains the elasticity of the skin and prevents from acne and pimples.
