Feet are as important to the body as are wheels to a car. They are an essential part of your body with a complex framework of about 26 bones, joints, muscles, ligament and numerous sweat glands. Even after working so hard, your feet never get the attention they deserve until they start causing you pain. Foot pain can be because of a number of reasons: old age, ill fitted shoes, fracture, sprain, diabetes, excessive pressure on feet. Natural remedies can dramatically decrease our suffering without any side effects that often occur while taking medications.

So try these few remedies to get rid of your foot pain.

1. Fill a bucket with cold water and another with hot water. Sit comfortably, place your feet in the hot water for five minutes and then place in cold water for at least a minute. Repeat this process two or three times. This effective pain relieving therapy will also refresh and relax your mind.

2. A small amount of crushed ice is placed in a plastic bag and is applied to the affected area. Never use an ice pack for more than 15 minutes as it can damage your foot’s nerves.

3. Epsom salt can easily soothe your sore feet and helps to prevent various other foot problems. Fill a tub with warm water and add two to three tablespoons of Epsom salt. You can also add two tablespoon of vinegar in it. Soak your feet in the tub for 15minutes .Towel dry and apply moisturizer to your feet.

4. You can also try baking soda soak. all you require is baking soda and a tub filled with warm water. Put half a cup of baking soda in the tub and stir it. Soak your feet in this for about half an hour.

5. Gently massage your sore feet with clove oil. Clove oil is considered to stimulate blood flow and hence will provide quick relief to sore feet. Also clove oil is very effective in nail fungus and skin problems because of its antiseptic properties. In case of cut or cracked heels, dilute clove oil with coconut oil.

6. Pamper your overworked sore feet with essential oils. Add three or four drops, each of eucalyptus and rosemary oil with two drops of peppermint oil in a hot water tub. Soak your feet for about 10 minutes. This therapy with surely boost your mood as well.

7. Mustard baths are used for treating achy muscles from centuries as mustard seeds stimulate blood circulation, open the pores of and remove toxins from your body. In order to have this therapy, grind some mustard seeds and put them in a tub filled with hot water. Soak your feet for about half an hour. Pat dry your feet and apply a good foot cream.

8. Give your feet a few light exercises which can help you in alleviating pain.

9. Scatter marbles on the floor and place a small bowl near a chair. Sit in the chair and try to pick up one marble at a time and place it in the bowl. Repeat this exercise with other foot.

10. Sit back against the chair, place one foot on the top of a golf ball and roll on the ball. Do not stand on the ball as it can increase your problem. Repeat with the other foot.

11. Sit back against the couch with one foot raised in air. With this posture make five small circles in both directions. Now stretch your toes as much as you can. Repeat five six times with each foot.

So, the next time, whenever you suffer from foot pain, simply try any of these remedies. However, if the symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Prevention is always better than cure. So treat your feet the way they should be treated, pamper them and keep your feet in tip top condition!
